BACHATA SPICE

Peynao is the UK's Pioneer of "Sensual Bachata". Here a bit of his dance history. As a dance teacher and performer, he has been dancing Bachata, Salsa and Latin rhythms since 2004. Peynao learned Bachata and Salsa with some of the top teachers and performers in Spain and at international congresses. Since he came to UK, he has been the first one representing UK in 2011 in BachataStars Europe where he got to the 4th position with his then dance partner. He also won the Latin Dance Video competition for the Premier of Street Dance 3D and is the pioneer and main introducer of the Sensual Style of Bachata in the United Kingdom and a well-respected instructor, both nationally and internationally. He is currently teaching Bachata in fusion or separated in styles like Sensual, Modern, Traditional, Bachatango...
Peynao has performed, taught and DJ in many national famous Latin dance clubs like Bachata Spice, El Grande, Bar Salsa, Motion City Festival, Sexy Latin Festival, BachataStars Europe Finals in London, Clave Latina Festival, Mambocity Congress, UKDC, and cities like Edimburgh, Nottingham, Oxford, Brighton, Cambridge.... and has been one of the very first UK based Bachata artists traveling abroad: Dominican Republic (Bachata Paradise), Madrid Bachatea Festival in Spain, Huelva Kizombachata Festival also in Spain, Ballagan Festival in Israel, Italy, Hungary, Ireland... He also has shared stage with singers as Ephrem J and Dani J.
Peynao was co-organiser and introducer of BachataStars UK, organiser of BachataStars Europe Finals 2013 and co-directing the very famous bi-monthly party “Bachata Spice” and Bachata Spice UK Amateur, UK Open and the coming International Championships, well-known to everyone in the Latin scene. Peynao has been promoting and organising events in his own right and in partnership for many major events around the country and runs different media channels like Bachata Spice or The Latin Passion.

Simon Ofoborh a.k.a Lord Bachata has been dancing and entertaining since he was 8 years old. Disco and Brake Dancing was previously his fortes. His dancing continued on a more serious level throughout his teenage years, directing and leading various dance projects, including recreating Michael Jackson’s Thriller routine. He also had a passion for sports, Gymnastics and Swimming which he participated in alongside his dancing.
He took his first Salsa class in January 2004 and still loves it. He spent the first 14 months just learning and social dancing, getting to know what salsa was all about. With almost two years of Salsa under his belt, he developed into a smooth dancer with a very precise lead. In 2006 he discovered Bachata which he loved and was shortly recognized for his smooth and funky style. That same year he was placed in the top 3 at the British Amateur Salsa Contest. In 2007 he won the European Open Bachata Championship with former Dance Partner (Angelique Sinclair of Seraphim Dance UK) at the UK Salsa Congress.
In 2009, he discovered Bachatango and in 2010 he joined forces with Natalie J Watterson. From then went on to teach and performed at various events and festivals around the UK. In 2012 Simon worked on a couple of projects with one of his up and coming student Nelix While Natalie was on a break.
Joined forces again with Natalie J Watterson in 2014 They run student performances and take their workshops and performances around the UK and Europe. They have worked at congresses and festivals with the likes of Mambo City, The Latin Collective, UKDC, I Love Bachata (Sexy Latin Dance Festival), love2Salsa (El Grande) Latin Motion (Motion City Congress) and many more.
Simon is the founder and Director of London Dance Cartel, Bachatango UK and Lord Bachata Dancers which he runs with Natalie J Watterson. Their disciplines involve teaching and performing Salsa (Mambo/Salsa on 1-2), Bachata (Moderna/Sensual), Tango, Bachatango and Cha Cha Cha.
He is also the Co-Founder of Bachata Spice, Co-Director of Bachata Spice Championship UK and Coordinator of BachataStars UK/Europe

DJ Ooo is one of the most versatile DJs in London! Well known in the Bachata scene as the DJ with the hottest sets, he fills the dance floor across London. Funky Bachatero and Salsero, his style is based on the funky rhythms of the Caribbean and modern style of New York fused with the sensuality of Spanish melodies.
He is the resident DJ of UK's biggest Bahata event Bachata Spice. He also has been a resident DJ in the UK at the following events and clubs: Bar Salsa, Scala Latina, Raduno and APT Bar, Under Solo Camden Town, Sabor, Renaissance Party...
He has Djed at Major Events: Bachatea in Spain, Paris Bachata Festival, Sexy and Sensual UK, La Clave UK, Brighton Salsa Festival UK, Unity UK, Prince Royce Concert UK, Festival De Orquestras UK, Bolingo UK, BachataStars Europe Finals (London)...

Josefina is the welcoming face of Bachata Spice. She has been dancing Salsa without any training for ages due to a great familiar influence that she has from Columbia. Afterwards she started to have training mainly in Cuban Salsa and two years ago she joined the Bachata Spice team becoming an authentic Bachata Lover and taking over the difficult and important duty of being the first person that all our students and guests see when they arrive to our event.

Really well known in the Latin Dance thing in London, Artur has been dancing for ages as a great social dancer. He loves all the "Latin Thing" and has been one of the very first Bachata dancers in the UK. And it was in our Bachata parties where Artur took some of his first pictures with his first professional camera. From that moment until now Artur has studied and become a professional photografer invited to shot all the main UK's dance events. He also does photo books and any kind of event that he is called for. In Bachata Spice we are happy to say that he is our main photographer and prove of this are most of our galleries from our competitions and parties.
